The above tools can be made from a wide variety of cutting materials, including: solid carbide, carbide tipped, high speed steel (HSS), high speed cobalt (HSCO). Carbide materials include tungsten carbide (available in a vast array of grades per application) and titanium carbide. Our cutting diameter tolerances fall within 0.00125mm (0.00005").

Geometries of even, odd and staggered flutes are available in either straight or helical configuration. We can handle all standard helix angles, and even special helixes, with ease.

Special shank styles and lengths are available to meet your holder specifications. Shorter, stub-type tooling is available for high-speed or flex cell manufacturing. This tooling is available in solid carbide, solid head as well as HSS and HSCO with thru coolant capabilities.

Through strong, long-term relationships with our coating suppliers, Carr Tool can offer a range of special coatings including, but not limited to, TiN, TiCN and TiAlN. Coating turnaround times are typically less than a week.
