Engineering Carr Tool's Engineering Department is available to work with customers' tool design specialists in developing new and modify existing tooling in order to meet customer demands. They also provide evaluations, analysis and recommendations regarding cutting problems our customers may have either with our tools or with tools made by another manufacturer. Our engineers' expertise is always available to you to assist with solving your cutting problems, including: maintaining part finish and roundness, overall condition improvements, and holding tolerances and specifications. Our engineers make use of the equipment in our Final Inspection department to closely examine and diagnose problems in both tools and parts. This inspection equipment includes:
Frequently, our customers come to us with the need for a new tool to machine a part. By providing us a drawing of the part to be produced, the material it is to be cut from, information about the machine doing the cutting, and required tolerances, engineering can develop drawings of the most cost-effective tool we can create to do the job. Carr Tool's engineers also collaborate with both customers and machine tool builders to simultaneously engineer the right tools to meet specific cutting needs.
